Although generally a reasonably good restaurant, the special Valentines Dinner (14 February 2022) was terrible. This was a completely over-priced occasion with food that was without imagination. The chicken skewers were unoriginal, beef fillet uninspired, and desert was instantly forgettable. I felt that I got robbed.

Lanser's on main is exceptional.. Attention to detail, knowing me and my family's preferences. From ice cold beer red wine chilled to perfection (they have room temperature or Red wine cooler chilled to perfection options available) sparkling water without lemon slice they have it all down to a tie. Friends of mine drives 55 minutes from their home to Bryanston as they said the can't find this quality of food any way near where they stay. People even drive from Pretoria for this experience.....Portions are very sufficient and absolutely delicious and flavourful ... Owner and chef Lanser is a Michelin star trained chef... Didn't know we had them in South Africa, yet i can ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this establishment... Adhering to the most strict covid19 regulations, and having a really clean /hygienic kitchen preparing your meal.. This can give you ALL THE PIECE OF MIND YOU NEED... they go above and beyond to ensure an absolute amazing dining experience... with a carefully curated winelist and some of the best ingredients money can buy... From flying in their mussels LIVE in from Lüderitz to the butcher that knows and understands the exact cut required they managed to have it all though through very very well My best recommendation would be to go and try them out yourself.. I recommend making a booking, and remember their on the first floor with white material table cloths on the tables... ... If it does say Lanser's on main.. It is not your at the wrong place..

On Sat eve, 12th Sept 20, my husband & I went there for dinner. I noticed management and servers with no masks. I was told by manager/ owner that they decided not to wear masks as they are too uncomfortable and if I'm concerned I must put mine back on. This is a deadly virus and more so with this attitude.

What an experience! A home away from home - friendly staff, delicious food and a wine menu to suit any taste. Definitely a restaurant to try for a special occasion or just a date night! I love their pizza's, and what is better is they have a special on Tuesdays!

The food was so out of this world delicious - and I am hankering after the tomato tart and the Porcini mushroom risotto. Such hearty meals and generous portions - perfect for a cold winter night out! The staff are kind and friendly and really helpful. I love that they have a drawer of readers for those who forgot their specs at home - such a homely touch! Cant wait to return and work my way through the menu!
