A great disappointment. We arrived in Paternoster on Sunday night and wished to stay at the Skatkis. It was 19h00 and a sign in the door at Skatkis said "Closed". We tried the door a few times. A lady eventually arrived and before I could say that I wanted accommodation she said: "Have you booked for the restaurant?" Without waiting for my reply she is told me that the kitchen was closing soon, indicating that we were too late in any case. When I eventually got the chance to say that we were actually looking for a room for the night her abrupt response was that there were no rooms available. It was quite clear that they had rooms available, but she could not be bothered. We had stayed and also eaten at Skatkis in the past but after this awful "customer service" we shall advise other to give it a miss.
