When last did you find yourself at Platia It's been forever since I was last there. We decided to give them a go again for a quick dinner before the draw. If you are lucky enough to be served by Hendricks, he is friendly, funny alomg with great service. We tried a few things, the Garlic Snails, The creamy prawns with no garlic, the Beef strips in creamy sauce, Chicken and Beef Gyro, Skordalia, and Fish and chips. The food was still good. Dad wished there was more garlic in the Snails. The Skordalia was mixed alot smoother than other greek places I've eaten at, and I just found the knife a bit awkward to cut the gyro. This excellent restaurant was such fun. There was a belly dancer & plate throwing and really, the best Greek food by far that we've had in JHB and the most pleasant, well trained / experienced staff. Also, the owner who is really very friendly, was present all the time checking to see that all was running smoothly. I would confidently recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Absolutely love the atmosphere, food and excellent service. Try the baby chicken and lamb shank, it's delicious.

Prawns best in town, lamb shank out of this world and they have such cheap specials. I loved breaking plate - .my best restaurant!
