The Blue Cow is nestled at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains on the farm Tradouwshoek owned by Boetie and Hannette Cooke. Well known for spectacular views, bird watching, healthy country climate and unforgettable meals, the Blue Cow was established in 2005 and takes pride in serving the best farm food available. The best place to visit in Barrydale and a must for any trip.

The best coffee shop on the R62. The welcome is warm, the food superbly homecooked country cuisine with possibly the best cheesecake in the country. The view is wonderful - mountains, fileds, orchards and the dam filled with giant silver fish. Watch birds, feed fish, enjoy unhurried, delicious food in a friendly and unpretentious setting. Great value for money!

The stoep has a spectacular view of the farm and mountains. This tranquil atmosphere was enhanced by the warm and friendly service. Don’t miss the killer cheesecake.

Wow, what a find in the charming village of Barrydale. The best sandwiches ever, great coffee, lovely setting and fast, friendly service. The best part is to see the owner, his wife and son hands on, running the place with competence and caring while making you feel like you are family. If you do pass through Barrydale, do yourself a favour and pay The Blue Cow Restaurant on the Barrydale Waterfront a visit. Oh, and outstanding value for money too.
