The prestigious V&A Waterfront Restaurant Awards took place at the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town on 30 July.

Following a strict judging process by Eat Out editor Abigail Donnelly and her team of three judges (Leigh Robertson, Vicki Sleet and Greg Landman) a total of six Waterfront-based restaurants emerged as winners in the various categories. And they are:

Emilys – Best Deluxe
Den Anker – Best Smart
Willoughby and Co – Best Casual
Café Bascule – Best Café Culture
Bascule Whisky Bar – Best Pub Style
Simply Asia – Best On the Run
