What an utter disappointment ,great venue ,great ambiance ,but quality on presenting a great tasty meal shocking .We ordered Salt and pepper squid ,but no mention in the menu that it is battered and no taste ,then the Rump steak ,specifically asked for a very hot plate ,I received a cold plate and a cold steak ,pepper sauce tasteless .My wife ordered fish of the day which was hake ,overcooked and we ordered veg ,when fish arrived we asked where is the veg ,and was told the hake is sitting on the veg .This is basics chef ,please make a point visit Avontuur and find out how great tasting food should be prepared ,and presented always hot plates and fabulous tasty food .
