Head chef Ivor Jones to leave The Test Kitchen in April 2016.

The Test Kitchen‘s head chef, Ivor Jones has announced on his Facebook page that he will be leaving his post at South Africa’s number one restaurant at the end of April 2016.

Restaurant staff have confirmed that this isn’t a belated April fool’s prank and have verified the news. While Ivor isn’t giving much away on what his plans are for the future, he has mentioned that he will be doing a bit of travelling with his wife and has said that there are some exciting plans being explored, “I have got a few things on the go but nothing is signed off as of yet.”.

On who will take over as head chef, the staff have said that it will more than likely be sous chef, Ryan Cole, who will take over the reins as head chef of Luke Dale-Roberts’s restaurant.
