Balance of Power: 2019 Eat Out Service Excellence Award

Dining at The Test Kitchen in Cape Town is a culinary experience that will leave a lasting imprint on your memory.

Managing to balance the energy of refinement without being pretentious is an art – and the reason why the judges definitively granted this much-lauded restaurant the Eat Out Service Excellence Award for the second consecutive year.

Chef-patron Luke Dale Roberts, his team of chefs and his front-of-house staff work with a disciplined sense of grace and harmony that’s impressively attuned to every guest’s needs – from the welcome and reception to the waiters’ warm but professional communication of multi-component dishes and wine service by deft sommelier Tinashe Nyamudoka.

“The moment you walk through the door you are greeted by a smiling face, and thereafter confidently led through your culinary journey,” said one of the Eat Out judges. “Everyone has a great understanding of the food and wine. Joe, our waiter, was a pleasure to have for the evening: funny and full of knowledge.”
