Seafood-lovers will be happy to know that this easy-going eatery offers a top-notch eat-all-you-like sushi buffet. The special is available Tuesdays to Fridays from 5.30pm to 10pm, plus Saturdays and Sundays all day. Patrons can dive in for a feast of sushi for R199 a head. An additional charge will be billed for sushi not eaten, so plate up wisely.

Azure at The Twelve Apostles (Camps Bay) ?

Enjoy the weekend breakfast buffet at Café Extrablatt on Saturdays and Sundays. The all-you-can-eat spread features everything from bacon and eggs to fruit salad and omelettes made at the omelette station. The Saturday breakfast costs R119.90 per person and R139.90 for the Sunday brunch.

Tuck into the breakfast buffet here every Saturday and Sunday for R130 per person (R150 full house) to enjoy dishes like Cape cheeses, cold meats, granola, scrambled eggs and pork bangers. Kids aged five years and younger can enjoy the buffet at no cost.

Oasis Bistro at Belmond Mount Nelson (Gardens)

Oasis Bistro has a variety of lunch buffets on offer, including the jazz lunch buffet on Sundays from 12.30pm for R475 per adult; the bistro lunch buffet for R420; the salad and cold buffet for R325; the hot buffet for R325; and a dessert buffet for R180.

Signal Restaurant at The Cape Grace (Waterfront)

The Square at The Vineyard Hotel (Claremont)

The continental breakfast buffet, for R190 per person, covers the entire cold selection. This includes freshly squeezed juices, homemade jams and honey, fresh seasonal fruit, local artisanal cheeses and a selection of pastries from the bakery. You could also opt for the English Breakfast option, which includes everything from the continental breakfast buffet plus the hot buffet or items from the à la carte menu. The hot buffet includes scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes, pork sausages, sautéed mushrooms and bacon, all for R235 per person. The breakfast buffet runs Mondays to Fridays from 6.30am to 10.30am, and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 7.30am to 11am.

Suikerbossie (Hout Bay)

The Sunday buffets here are legendary and it’s no surprise why. For R349 per person, you can work your way through the starters, which include a soup of the day and a selection of pâtés. Then tuck into the carvery, before finally finishing with dessert. They also have a Sunday breakfast buffet for R168 per person.

Tobago’s at the Radisson Blu Hotel (Mouille Point)

Take in the view while enjoying Sunday lunch at Tobago’s. For R395 you can make the most of the build-your-own salad section for starters before tucking into the the carvery, which is complete with Yorkshire puddings. End things on a sweet note with a selection of desserts.
