Bukhara closed after fire

A fire which was ignited by the flames from a wok”, burned down the kitchen and store room at Bukhara restaurant in Cape Towns city centre on Sunday 16 August, Eyewitness news reports.

The restaurants main dining area also suffered water damage as a result of the blaze being extinguished, according to Dennis Smeda of Cape Town Fire. No one was harmed in the incident, although four people were treated for smoke inhalation. The restaurant will be closed for the next two weeks.

Bukhara has two other branches in the Western Cape, one at Grand West Casino in Goodwood and the other in Stellenbosch.
