Good Food & Wine for Durban

From Thursday 25 November until Sunday 28 November, the banana city will be treated to a gastronomic extravaganza courtesy of the Good Food & Wine Show Durban. Hosted in the Durban Exhibition Centre, the expo promises to entertain clambering kids and fully-fledged foodies alike.

Adding plenty of glitz and glam to the event, the Chefs in Action Theatre will star international celebrity chefs like Eric Lanlard (pictured), Tobie Puttock and Atul Kochhar cooking up a storm alongside local heroes like Justin Bonello. Premium packages are also available, affording avid fans the chance to meet their favourite chefs and get signed copies of their latest cookbooks. Best of all, hands-on workshops will be taking place in the Get Fresh with BBC Lifestyle Theatre seeing 12 lucky participants – kitted out with their own kitchen and utensils – receive an unforgettable master class from the who's who of the cooking zoo.

Other noteworthy excitements include Books for Cooks celebrity book signings, Master of the Tongs Jason Hartmann, Terence Bray and Pixie Bennett demonstrating their chop-tanning prowess, the Spekko Cook of the Year competition where contestants battle it out for a whopping R50K, and Wines of the World, playing host to leading Australian sommeliers.

Not forgetting the little 'uns, CBeebies Kidz Cooking will entertain the tots with cow-milking, chicken-collecting and, of course, loads of cooking.
