What it’s like to eat at SA’s The Test Kitchen, number 28 in the world

South Africa woke up proud this morning!

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants confirmed what we’ve always known.

The Test Kitchen is simply the best.

They rose a whopping 20 places from a ranking of 48 in the world to number 28. Chef Luke Dale-Roberts was there to pick up the award on behalf of his team.

So what exactly is it like to eat at his restaurant?

For starters, it’s a feast for the eyes.

The open kitchen gives you a glimpse of the magic going on behind the scenes.

It’s a gritty and industrial but super-stylish space.

You’ll kick off with some pretty special appetisers.

And perhaps progress to this polka-dotty perfection.

It’s no wonder that admirers come from all over the world to taste the team’s food.

And getting a table can be understandably tricky!

So it’s best to book well in advance…

Number 48 in the world, number 1 in our hearts.
