We went on a Sunday for lunch. The menu was on white paper stapled together.
The service was absolutely terrible.
We were four guests of whom one ordered a fillet – a fork could not even penetrate the meat. We never saw the meat again after sending it back to the kitchen.
One person ordered a pizza that only arrived when the other three patrons finished their meals.
When we told the manager that she should invest in a warmer and bring all the patrons food at once, she indicated that we should have read the menu and seen that it’s two separate kitchens. I'm sorry - I didn't see this and that I had standard restaurant expectations!
We saw the waiter twice and had to fetch our own wine. When highlighting this to the manager, she didn’t even apologise! Natalie is a poor manager and she should really work on her customer service.
We were not the only table that were unhappy about the service, another table of two also received one of their meals. The other meal never arrived!
I think the problem lies in a lovely restaurant that has expanded too quickly without investing in its resources e.g. warmers, extra waiters, managing clients' expectations upfront (e.g. it probably would have been a different experience if the waiter had told us that the pizza would be 40min delayed = and not just dissapearing)
