In the last decade, Akhalwaya's have made a few changes to their image and the overall look and feel to their store however, in terms of food not a thing has changed... & thank goodness for that! Good, tasty food that never fails to disappoint, it is no "wonder why" we keep coming back after all these years despite there being so many other fast food options available today. Golden, toasted bread (white ofcourse!), layered with cheese, steak, polony, lettuce and 'slap' chips... We've never been able to view a sandwich in the same light since the introduction of the legendary "Wits special". If it's hearty food you seek, Akhalwaya's is your go-to option!
