Expect unpretentious plates of Italian classics. Begin with a panzanella or a few of the delicious vegetarian-friendly bruschettas. With starters dispatched, your choice is simple: pizza or pasta, and neither will disappoint.
The pizzas are wood fired, with a dozen options to choose from. Classics are well taken care of with quattro stagioni and a simple margherita or push out the boat with the signature Asta topped
with Bolognese, béchamel and basil.
Choose your pasta – tagliatelle, spaghetti, penne or gnocchi – tossed in a selection of homemade sauces. But look for the specials list, where you’ll find the likes of delicate spaghetti vongole or ladrona of pork sausage and porcini tossed in herby olive oil.
Expect all the old favourite desserts, with the tiramisu being particularly good.
The wine list is well priced, but limited. Bring your own if you fancy something special. Craft beers, cocktails and Aperol are available too.
Hands-on, relaxed and welcoming, befitting the family-friendly space.
This is the perfect spot for laid-back family meals.

This place is so wonderful - unlike many other places in Stellenbosch which are so pretentious and concerned with their image - this place is only worried about excellent food. Homemade pasta with a good selection of sauces. The family who run this place are more than happy to give suggestions (and advise you against bad food choices). And it won't break the bank. Just make sure you leave room for their absolutely amazing Tiramisu!
Hey, service with a smile is not always their strong point, but that is part of the fun. The pasta is superb, and I go there as often as I can. For great pasta I will put up with a grumpy old man.
Great Italian authentic food and recipes! Pasta made daily on site, all dishes made from scratch - fresh! Small and cosy. I have 4 kids - they loved the food and we were very happy with the service.
A great find, Italian owned and run with indoor and outdoor seating in a shaded courtyard off Dorp Street. We enjoyed the food, setting and the friendly welcome and service and will be back.
The most amazing fresh pasta you'll have and at a great price too! Servings are large and the atmosphere is great! There is a bit of a language barrier as the family is Italian.
