We arrived at 11,45 and had to order breakfast. Lunch service only starts at 12,00.
A fry up and an omelette took 40 minutes to arrive, needless to say the order was wrong and to my complete chagrin other people around us were having lunch!
The manager was there, but did not deign to speak to us.

Your Eisbeins are the very best I've ever tasted. Nowhere else have I seen them so fabulously crispy! How I wish I could get that right at home here far away in the Western Cape.

A horrendous run down dump. Cold and dark and staff eating lunch at the bar counter? It was a cold winters day and when asked if the fire could be made, the couldn't-care-less manageress said ,"There's no wood."
Then sent someone to fetch wood at a nearby shop.
We left after drinks as the food looked unappetizing, bland and all the same colour.

Hi I am thrilled that Vanessa and her party enjoyed their experience at The Bierfassl. There does, however, seem to be a misunderstanding. Our German sausages are nowhere NEAR R90, although they are a bit on the pricey side, the reason being that they are hand-made by an Austrian meat master on a small scale. This puts them in the same league as a steak, in both quality and size. Our eisbeins are our speciality, and Im glad they were enjoyed. The beer referred to is locally brewed at The Nottingham Road Brewing Co.
We were so looking forward to a meal at Bierfassl but were most disappointed. The service was almost non-existent and the food an absolute shocker! They definitely will only attract people on the look of the place - the service and food wont be attracting people back!
