Owner's description

German gemütlichkeit is the order of the day in our Garden Restaurant, situated in a stunning setting. On clear days guests have a beautiful view across to Table Mountain in the distance. The restaurant offers a selection of dishes ranging from cheese platters to traditional German and South African food. Eat al fresco on the garden terraces in summer, or cosy up in the ‘Downstairs’ cellar in winter. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and tea, and also caters for small private functions. Bookings are advised, especially on weekends and holidays.

Our menu offerings have been fine-tuned to look and taste even better than it was before, without losing that ‘homely’ feel.

    Great Great Great We do a review of the top 10 breakfast venues in and around cape town ,Delheim was a total surprise on every level .Starting with a great venue ,very welcoming staff and great tasty food. We had the total breakfast with everything ,hot plates and all the extra sauces prepared as a variety ,is fantastic .one of the few restaurants that says you have to order 20 minutes ahead for a fresh croissant ,and it was the best of all the restaurants visited , Great tasty food and excellent service ,keep up the great work ,you should be the top 3 in cape town area. Well done

    Couldn’t wait to visit Delheim Garden restaurant but what a disappointment. The service is poor and the food quality is lower than average. Don’t believe the food photography on the website

    Idyllic setting, down to earth staff and management, no thrill or fuss, let the food speak for itself, absolute value for the money - this restaurant is must! We enjoyed it so much that we actually went back a week later for their picnic. As much as we enjoyed their restaurant, we enjoyed their picnic even more. Perfect for having a 30 something birthday party or even a little romantic afternoon.

    Small portions, totally overpriced and food was bland and tasteless! Very disappointed!

    This beautiful spot is family-friendly, but still classy. I even got my husband to eat a salad – with biltong in it!
