Eaten at the Deli recently. Service is friendly and prompt, atmosphere was great on a lovely sunny winter's day. Best part of the meal was the bobotie pie. EXCELLENT bobotie, best I've ever eaten.

Owner's description
Situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands, this deli offers daily baked, artisan produce, breads, cakes and pastries. Also on offer are homemade jams, chutneys, preserves and sauces for purchase. Diners can create their own sandwich or platter for lunch from the selection of charcuterie and cheeses on offer. Picnic baskets are also available to be enjoyed in the deli’s garden overlooking the vineyards.

The more informal deli, conveniently located next to the wine tasting room, has the best home made pies, gourmet sandwiches and cakes in Stellenbosch. It also boasts a variety of preserves and even ice cream - a must have option to desert.

Lunch experience on Sunday 26th Jan. Drinks arrived swiftly as did menus. Order for 4 open sandwiches given: (3x Beetroot and. salmon and 1 alternative) Checked with kitchen after 30 minute delay. Chef irritated. After 40 mins incorrect order arrived but rather than wait any longer accepted this. Chef eventually appeared to offer apology and free glass of wine. Suggest you withdraw recommendation until the Lanzerac Deli has sharpened up its act

We waited almost an hour for our food and when it arrived they had got the order wrong. Not very impressed for an establishment of Lanzerac's standing and reputation.We were offered a free glass of wine by way of compensation.
PS We had booked a table for Sunday 26January.
