Please note that The Plaaskombuis is not Rademeyers Restaurant, Venue and Chapel. Please refer to our webpage www.rademeyers.co.za for accurate information. Unfortunately I cannot post this comment without ticking the Ambience, Service and Food buttons.Regards Deirdré
Very noisy inside. No communication possible between ends of table for 8. Wash basin in the "ladies" is holed. Only 3 of the eight orders were correctly supplied. 4 Others were not served according to description on the menu. The 8th one, my own, was totally forgotten! All the food was cold. After complaining and a long wait, mine finally arrived. My steak, ordered to be medium, was distinctly rare, and cold. One of the coffees ordered was served in a chipped cup.
Not a very memorable Sunday afternoon dinner!
Yesterday, was my grandmother's 90th birthday dinner. I flew up from Cape Town for the event, my parents drove up from George and my aunt made a booking for the dinner a couple of months in advance.

Unfortunately, Rademeyers lost our booking and will unwilling to help us any any way. So we had to find another restaurant that could accomodate our group of 10 at very short notice.

That in itself would have been very disappointing but OK. But the rude and unapologetic attitude we got from Rademeyers was very surprising - I would have expected that they would be at least a little bit embarrassed for messing up on such an important occasion.
    Enjoyable experience!
I would like to book for 2 persons for friday 14February at 19H00
How do I go about it.
    Kind Regards
