JB's Corner has the best burgers in the North of Johannesburg. Big, juicy, and they also have healthy options.
I went to J&B's in Melrose Arch for breakfast to unwind, do some work and have a great start to my morning. My waiter was very friendly and attentive and made conversation he was really cool, since I work out and lift weights I ordered two breakfast meals and he asked if I wanted egg white only omelette because he understood and also recommended the better tasting oats choice and he was not judgmental at all he took a while to bring my bill but luckily I was not in a hurry but it is still annoying but his service and attitude was one of the best experiences, food was delicious, waiting time was as expected not too long, things that would put off any person who lives a healthy lifestyle were absent and the ambience was just on top for the morning. Based on that I wanted to make J&B my morning stop for breakfast so on my way to varsity or when I want to get work done and host meetings and I tested the take away early morning service.....it was terrible I stood at the door for 2min (which is long for waiting at a door) and directed to the front destroy to which I waited 5-7min for a woman who was doing basically nothing, I resorted to grabbing my own menu since she couldn't be bothered to even greet but that got her attention I ordered my meal and a cappuccino which took a good 30min plus extra 15min for I wish I knew what and to add my cappuccino was forgotten. Since the front rest lady was useless floating on clouds after 10mon waiting I asked a waiter for my bill and cappuccino of course the bill came at the speed of light as for the coffee another wait.....10min later the manager finally notices and asks what I am waiting for and I respned a cappaciono the front destroy lady then decided to act. The random waiteress I asked for assistance was a great help she got things done but the manager did apologies. After speeding to my destination because the wait was equivalent to sitting and eating I opened my take away to find a there was a heavy spillage in the bag but how can it be since I ordered an omelette? Turns out it was an ocean on oil it was so disgusting it was so much oil it could fill half a cup, I proceeded to taste since I paid for the meal and I was hungry it was not an egg white only not a big deal but it had a distinct smokey taste to it from the cooking equipment and a bit too salty. From such a wonderful 1st experience to the have one of the worst experiences J&B seems to have a consistency problem I have have dinner, lunch and now breakfast there and over all the service is lacking asking and receiving the bill takes ages in fact waiters seem to forget they have customers at times.

We are have had the most horrible experience at jb's sandton city
The manager and the owner refused to switch on the Brazil vs chile World Cup soccer game despite numerous request from many disappointed customers.
Will never visit or recommend this restaurant.
    This is truly disgusting...!!!!

Ps. I have had the manager read this review before posting.
JB's Corner in Sandton has disappointed me so much that I've even filed a Hello Peter report about it. Yesterday I ordered my food and a slice of red velvet cake. I asked the waiter to check whether it was freshly made - and he never did. He just brought it to me. They served me what appeared to be the outer edge of the cake (the part with burnt, sticky edges covered by cream). The inner portion of cake was stale and chewy. When I complained and asked to speak to the manager - the manager did not come and my waiter continued to assure me that it was freshly baked (A BIG LIE!). Having had their cake before and Melrose Arch's, I knew this for a fact. In order to rectify the issue, the waiter promised me I would be given to take home a slice of the freshest red velvet they had and he apologized. I was irritated that I had to pay for the slice in the first place and thought it should have been on the house to begin with, but I just wanted to get out of there so I did. Upon arriving home, I discovered my initial slice of cake (exactly as I had separated & cut it) in the carrier. Not only did the manager not come when I asked him to, they lied and made me pay for a stale slice of cake. So disappointed. Will not be returning there! Sis!
I was at JB's in Sandton City two week's ago with my parents. The manager was so rude to my mother, I was disgusted! She thought the transaction had gone through twice on her bank card & needed assurance it hadn't. He was arrogant and sarcastic, refusing to apologise for his unacceptable behavior. He continued to disrespect her until we left!

    Flabbergasted
