I absolutely love Love Me So. From their flavoursome Ramen (WOW), Korean BBQ, Poke Bowls, Izakaya or their fabulous cocktails and great wine list, I can highly recommend Love Me So as a MUST! It's great to sit inside or out, they have a beautiful balcony bar which is perfect for these summer nights in bustling Melville. There are many vegetarian and vegan options which is such a win. The staff are super friendly, always there to offer you the best advice on what to eat or drink. I love the vibe of this place, it hits all the spots.
Food was stunning. We had dishes off of the izakaya menu as well as the Korean Pork BBQ. Everything flowed perfectly and the service was just as good as the food.
After reading an article today regarding this restaurant,my family and I rushed to try this place. Having the blessed experience of travelling through Japan and tasting Ramen,I can honestly say that LOVE me So is definitely been a HATE me So.Here is my honest opinion combined with my experience today.the place is not as accessible to enter,so as they suggest wheel chair friendly not so much. The place itself inside was dimly lit sort of like the service I suppose. We were “coldly” greeted by our waiter who at 15:30hrs rushed us to place our order as he said the place closes at 16:00hrs so needless to say we did not get a proper chance to sit and look at the menu and had to order quickly. They advertise different times on social media from closing at 5pm to timeouts time for 6pm.Then we proceed to order the buy one get one free cocktail which the waiter says they run until 3pm however search it and find it says 4pm on the media. However, the waiter only upon my husband showing him this says he will check with his boss regarding this,he came back and said it was no problem we can have the buy one get one free cocktail well I say so called Cocktail however I am not sure what that concoction was to be very honest.Lets also mention that my husbands first choice was a Saki Vodka infused cocktail however the “Asian” restaurant did not have any Saki ,however a waiter tip you should not order it anyway because it’s awful and customers complain about it but yet it’s still on their menu.To order a coke or get the waiter’s attention took forever.Service was very very slow and not of a friendly nature.Anyway,we still had hope for the Ramen which unfortunately was a FAKE Ramen, the noodles did not taste good at all,the pork was tasteless, the only authentic thing about the Ramen was the bowl and utensils it was served with.My wonderful R149 dish came to be some over cooked pork and salt less rice combined with old carrot scraping and some over cooked chewy green thing, with a little red sauce which I think was supposedly Kimitchi.Except for the coke which I enjoyed, everythung was terrible,I will supply pictures of the portions and how the food looks, they just throw sesame seeds on it to authenticate it,a waste of R500,also they were supposed to charge for one cocktail according to Happy Hour, yet they charged us full price, such thievery,we just paid our bill and left the restaurant.Anyway, not to waste the food,we all just left it for the car guard although after telling him to collect it,he seemed to be reluctant himself perhaps he knows the quality himself. After reading that this restaurant’s name was MiSoHawni and it was the same one that caused an uproar amongst people,we decided to give it a chance however I can honestly say it’s a rip off.....Rather save your money, buy some pork chops, throw some sesame seeds and eat at home,it’s not worth your time or money.(please kindly ignore my grammar etc as review written in haste as busy making a meal for family to compensate for today.
Absolutely delicious, the Korean BBQ is outstanding. The cocktails are super delicious.
