What an utterly incredible dining experience! From the moment we were picked up by the restaurant’s driver we knew we were going to enjoy a wonderful evening. The food was astonishing, the wine pairings perfect and the entire staff knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We are already planning a return visit when we visit the area again in November.

My wife and I have been supporting Serendipity since just after it opened some 20 years ago. The quality and flavours of the cuisine has gone from strength to strength and it is easy to se why Lizelle and her team have won 3 World Restaurant Awards. It is a cosy restaurant with limited numbers so booking is essential. Covid Rules strictly applied. An excellent wine list and some special aperitifs. South African cuisine of course. Locally produced ingredients and Lizelle's husband provides excellent meats from hunting and from fishing. Great staff who have also been with Lizelle for many years. We make a point of dining there when passing by or just going there to enjoy her cuisine. It is fine dining with 5 courses and relatively expensive but you cannot stay locally (B and B in the same property) without being tempted.

Dear Lizelle, Rudolf and your amazing Serendipity Team We just want to thank you both and your Team for making my birthday on the 6th Jan 2018 so incredibly special and divine. You made us feel so special and I will treasure my birthday card and the memories forever as I put it into my scrapbook with all the photos. Your cuisine in taste and presentation definitely is deserved of your recent award – and we don’t know you but we feel so proud of you and blessed to be able to experience your offering. Your welcome was so warm and we just loved Rudolf and his description of the options, we actually wanted to try all of them, the way he was describing them!!!! I can’t remember our waiter’s name, featured in one of the photos, but he, too, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the wines he described. Keep it up and remain inspired to dazzle visitors with your incredible talents.
