What a nice place to have a sunday lunch. Great food in a beautiful garden. Original italian dishes. We enjoyed sea food dishes fresh and tasty. Great wines and nice ambiance. Trees older than 200 year made a difference in Sandton centre place.Recommended.
Tutto c on vino piemontese davvero ottimo. Il ristorante ha un parcheggio privato gratuito e custodito e il servizio e' eccellente.
Stelle is a gem. It is hard to find such a good restaurant where you can relax and eat delicious carefully prepared food in an atmosphere that is so sympatico. Stelle is such a restaurant. It is in Parkview which has a nice neighbourly feel. Refreshing in that it is not in a mall. Friendly staff know the menu and are helpful and yet not intrusive. You are served simple Italian food made from fresh ingredients that is delicious and not fussy. Alda Porelli and Tony Graziero are the co owners. She will come out of the kitchen at times and ask you how your meal is with her charming Italian accent. Tony makes the pasta freshly to order. They also have very good cakes and tarts that they make from scratch. Try the pesto pasta, veal with lemon, calamari al sugo, salad with pears and walnuts. The menu is varied and worth exploring. It is a restaurant with reliable home-style Italian cooking with flair, something that is hard to find anywhere!
Best Italian restaurant in Jozi! But then again: real Italian, no concessions or anything, hence basic. And, may I say as a foreigner that it's quite refreshing to find a restaurant in SA where the waitresses actually know what they are serving, because they have apparently tried all the meals on offer? Positive experience! (Although I found the wine list a bit poor.)
I have NEVER come across such appalling, rude service in my life. The phone was slammed down on me TWICE, and I was shouted at, when I attempted to make a booking. I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody who is used to a quality standard of service.
