My experience here was bad, bad, bad. Far too expensive and very badly cooked food. No service to speak of.

What a bad experience. We went to the restaurant for a special day but it turned out to be the worst mistake we ever made. Firstly the restaurant is well overpriced for the tiny amounts you get. We had no attention what so every waiting for over an hour for service and then the only wine they could recommend was the most expensive they have. The food was terrible and very tiny portions. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointed.

My wife and I went to Trents this weekend for a lunch buffet. It costs R250 per person and I have got to say that it's the worst 'buffet' I have ever had. There was only one type of meat, which was chicken with mushroom sauce that didn't look or taste good. They say they have a chef. I just don't know how thats possible, I can cook far better. Everything was overcooked and soft. No meats at a buffet? I could go to any other buffet in Joburg at the same price and have five meats to choose from as well as far better quality. There were also two desserts, so far too few but at least they were quite tasty. Also in fairness the waiters and other staff were amazing. Just the food and value for money is shocking! Daylight robbery. I wish I had taken pictues so I could explain just how little there was.

Do not waste you time going here. Very very small portions and extremely overpriced for the amount and quality.
