New chef at Ashton’s

Ashtons restaurant, situated in the heart of Cape Towns leafy southern suburbs, has recently appointed Melissa Bruyns as new head chef.

Having worked at winelands heavyweights such as Haute Cabriere Cellar restaurant and Zevenwacht, Melissa aims to have a fresh approach with a feminine touch adding to the establishments already high-ranking reputation.

Capetonians can expect to delight in Melissas fusion of international cuisine with a South African flavour in the restaurants elegant and relaxing environment – whether opting to dine Al Fresco or in the wood-pannelled dining room.

The menu includes calssics with a twist, such as Malay spiced venison loin with vegetable bobotie and braised Springbok shank served with orange sweet potato mash.
