9 Winter restaurant specials in Gauteng

As the temperature dips, so too does our desire to go out. But with hot deals like these, you’ll be tempted to brave the cold.

Carnivore (Muldersdrift)

If there’s one thing that will convince you to brave the cold, it’s the promise of a ‘Beast of a Feast’, which is exactly what you’ll get at Carnivore. The Sunday lunch costs R295, while a kiddies’ menu is available for those under the age of 12 and costs R160. The meal includes a complimentary dawa cocktail on arrival. Booking is essential.

Choo Choo Junction (Linden)

This steampunk-themed eatery offers the perfect winter weeknight escape. On Tuesdays you can buy any two pizzas (with options including creations such as Double Dutch, Moroccan Muse and Hot Asian) for the price of one.

Col’Cacchio (Nationwide)

Col’Cacchio wants you to love Tuesdays (AKA Twosdays) as much as they do, so they’re running their two-for-one promotion again this year. Up until 27 August, you can order two of your favourite pizzas or pastas and get the cheapest one free. The special is only available for in-store sit-down meals.
