New: The fresh and contemporary Corner Place Café recently launched in Vaalwater – think light deli meals, good coffee, soft-serve icecream (the only place in town to get your fix!) and cocktails.

Local foodie, Xander Labuschagne, launched his new project at the end of March with a large dose of enthusiasm and passion.

Xander grew up on a farm close-by and started off as a game ranger. Never forgetting about his love for food and cooking, he decided that now was the time to open his new café.

He points out the symbolism of his black and white logo, which promotes togetherness and a place for everyone to feel welcome.

Vaalwater is situated amidst ‘Big 5’ nature reserves which has created a growing bustle in the town.
