Enjoy a glass of Krone, Pongracz, Veuve Clicquot and Moët & Chandon in the lifestyle lounge (a bar and lounge area meant for social gatherings) or the champagne lounge. Else head to the restaurant, where you can enjoy dishes like rump steak and chicken cordon bleu (or a full Continental breakfast, if you’re there for mimosa time!). For dessert, have your bubbly with a classic banana split, peach melba or diced chocolate brownies with chocolate ice cream and chocolate straws.

Siphelele has successfully gone from selling chicken on the sidewalk to opening his own three-storey restaurant in his community. Staying true to the young entrepreneur’s vision of uplifting and empowering the youth from his community, the staff of over 50 at The Milk Restaurant and Bar – including head chef Phumlani Nhini and assistant chefs Anelisa Mangcotywa and Olwethu Mavuso – are all young professionals from Khayelitsha.
