Delaire Graff to welcome new Japanese restaurant in the Indochine space

News just in  – Indochine Restaurant, situated at Delaire Graff Estate in Stellenbosch, is undergoing a rebranding transformation into a fresh Japanese dining establishment named HŌSEKI.

The new opening coincides with the refurbishment of the garden, luxury and presidential lodges, spa and shared guest spaces on the estate –  all launching in October 2023. HŌSEKI means “jewel” in Japanese and pays homage to Delaire Graff Estate’s owner and renowned diamantaire, Laurence Graff OBE.

It’ll be the end of an era for Indochine, which opened in 2010 under the guidance of head chef Virgil Kahn. The restaurant was awarded an Eat Out star at the 2022 Eat Out Woolworths Restaurant Awards with judges praising its elegant space, wine list and charming and warm service.

Virgil will lead the team as head chef of HŌSEKI with the same expertise, creativity and dedication that has been integral to the success of Indochine.
