“It is a great honour for me to be cooking with two of my main influences, and I’m excited about this nostalgic, culinary journey,” says the celebrated chef. “Mentorship is the biggest cog in the kitchen machine and I want to highlight that, and celebrate it!”

Luke will pay homage to Graham Garrett (chef and proprietor of The West House in Biddenden, Kent) and Kevin Hopgood (chef and proprietor of Hopgoods and Co. in Nelson, New Zealand), two chefs who helped sculpt him into the culinary protégé he is today.

“I love being able to give back to the industry that has given me so much, and mentoring is a great way to do that,” says Kevin Hopgood, ahead of the first culinary event of the New Year.

Luke, Kevin and Graham will come together and collaborate to create a true culinary banquet featuring exemplary wines from acclaimed South African winemakers; Eben Sadie, Adi Badenhorst and Ken Forrester. Lunch will feature four snacks and five plated courses with wine pairing for R 2450 while the six-course dinner experience with wine pairing will feature six snacks and six plated courses for R 3500.
