SETA: New Asian-Italian cocktail lounge to open on Bree Street

This spring, Bree Street’s three-storey restaurant complex, Villa 47, is set to re-launch their first floor as SETA – a stylish fusion cocktail lounge. Meaning ‘silk’ in Italian, SETA will take the place of Stuzzico to offer a before- or after-dinner experience with molecular cocktails and Asian-Italian shared plates.

The bar at this new drinks spot will be stocked with everything from Aperol spritzers to exciting cocktails like the Yuzutini with Beefeater Gin, sake, honey and lemon grass, or the Viento with two different kinds of rum, passion fruit and coconut. There’ll also be a selection of local and Italian wines curated by group sommelier, Oliver Loxton. For after-dinner sippers, there will also be a selection of cognacs, whiskies and authentic Italian espressos.

To pair with the extensive drinks selection, resident chef Michelangelo D’Oria has crafted a menu of small plates specifically designed for sharing and pairing. His menu will bring together a range of Italian flavours with a contemporary twist of Asian flavours. While the dishes are still in the works, expect interesting options like tuna tartare with roasted miso eggplant and rice chips, or Italian-style spaghetti with butter, pepper, anchovies and Katsuobushi (dried tuna flakes).

SETA will open its doors in mid-September. Keep your eyes on the Villa 47 Facebook page for further announcements.
