Partner content: The Last Supper Club – an initiative supporting the hospitality industry

Jameson Connects presents The Last Supper Club: a move to reconnect you with the places and spaces you love and to get the hospitality industry back on its feet.

Our favourite restaurants, bars, rooftop hangouts and sundowner spots have always been the keepers of culture. They are the places that rolled out the red carpet for us, made us feel like we belonged, spoke to us through their creativity, and at times, spoke up for us too. These are the places we return to when we want to unwind, celebrate a win or take our mind off our troubles. Nothing lifts one’s spirits like an excellent meal, end-of-week drink with friends, good music or a great atmosphere.

Lockdown restrictions have severely impacted this industry, leaving venues hanging by a thread and forcing many to close their doors while putting people out of work. But in every crisis, there is an opportunity to make something stronger and better than it was before.

Jameson Connects platform and its flagship event, the Last Supper Club, strives to make an impact by igniting a movement. A movement to reunite the industry and its people through experiences that celebrate community, creativity and togetherness.

By bringing together the most prolific artists and celebrities in South Africa, at venues across the country, the Jameson Connects platform will launch with one goal in mind – to remind the industry of what it means to us, to help get it on its feet again and to encourage people to put their hands up for the industry, for community, culture and art.
