Food

Situated in the previously well-known ‘The Test Kitchen’ and only eight months old, Fledgelings offers a menu created by the young chefs. Opt for the tasting menu to enjoy the fully fledged experience and sample everything these young chefs have to offer.

A highlight is the humble beef tartare with Luke’s Bloody Mary dressing, toasted garlic and jalapeño mayo.

The knife skills exhibited create melt in your mouth beef and the dressing and mayo provide tang with a little bit of heat that make this dish a pleasure to eat.

If you have a sweet tooth, finish your meal off with a classic chocolate fondant. It arrives with a cloud of candy floss but underneath the classic fondant awaits brûléed bananas, salted caramel and ice cream – a classic combination with added flair.

Drinks

TTK Fledgelings offers a wide selection of local wine and drinks on the high end of the spectrum.

There are also wines available by the glass. Another option is to have an interesting cocktail made by the resident mixologist, which will help keep your bill down if you’re watching your wallet.

Service

Walking into TTK Fledgelings, you’re welcomed with a big hello from all the staff members, making you feel very special and creating a relaxed environment.

As you are seated at your table, the waiter explains the menu and drinks options thoroughly. From start to finish the experience is seamless and informative.

Ambience

The ambience is very eclectic, with songs like Karma Chameleon playing in the background. Very unexpected for this type of eatery, it creates an informal environment for all to enjoy.

The crowd that visits this restaurant are older and more affluent, as the pricing won’t suit everyone’s budget.
