The boutique food court concept is the brainchild of Benjamin Cox, who has experience in the food and vendor industry. Benjamin worked closely with designer Ashley Adami to create the hip, clean interiors where the focus is on a market-style, communal dining environment complete with melamine trays for patrons and a tray rack.

As for the food on offer, the dining space incorporates a variety of local street food chefs in the form of casual micro restaurants serving quick bites. The interesting offerings include dim sum and Eastern cuisine from Silk Road, breakfast eats from Goodeggs, burgers and other meaty eats from Pete Goffe-Wood, buffet-style salads from Sova, coffee from Café Duo, and fresh juices and smoothies from Eso Juice.

Canteen is aimed at those looking for a quick meal or an easy business meeting spot. The concept is the first in a series of boutique food courts planned. It’s situated in the RADAR DAD precinct on the corner of Queens Park Avenue and Factory Road in Salt River and is open weekdays from 8am to 4pm.
