Absolutely the best place to seek refuge from the cold winter weather. On arrival, my friends and I were escorted to a table close to the warm, toasty wood-burning fireplace (lucky us) and the place was buzzing with a lively atmosphere which was absolutely fitting for the miserable rain and raging wind outside. We waited for ages for someone to assist us at our table and eventually when the waitress arrived, we ordered our drinks and were sure to order our food as well (in case she didn't return). The Belgian Cherry Beer was AMAZING! The tangy taste and distinct cherry flavour called for a second glass which I gladly ordered. I was slightly disappointed when my food arrived, the ribs (although soft and practically falling from the bone) was slightly bland. The citrus flavour was good but it missed the salty and savoury taste that I was longing for. Dessert was equally amazing as the cherry beer. The Amarula bread pudding with condensed milk ice cream was simply delicious and the chocolate brownie with rooibos ice cream was equally so. Will I return? Absolutely, I was already sold at Belgian Cherry Beer! And to top this all off, the restrooms are beautifully structured with Listerine, hairspray and toothpaste! These guys just thought of EVERYTHING.
