Walked into this very unassuming restaurant just of the "strip" in Camps Bay. Tired of the over priced options on the main road I was referred to Dizzys by the guest house I was staying at. The pizza was sublime. Thin based, wood fired with just the perfect amount of toppings. Not drowning in some sauce or more base than fillings. Just good ingredients and cooked to perfection. My colleague ordered a burger which was enormous but had to be good as not a crumb was left. Queenie was the waitress and was very friendly and helpful. This is a great place for good food served with love. And to put the cherry on the cake they had a great selection of beer on tap and a very nice wine list. What more can a person want?
Called into check on details of menu and whether I should reserve a table, since its world cup football. Guy on phone said no need but place was full. Also had to fight to get them to put football on some TVs which were showing rugby. I mean didn't seem like anyone was watching it anyway. Staff were miserable, couldn't buy a smile there. Ended up missing half game and having terrible experience. Pizza was good though. So if you don't mind miserable waiters and bad service, pizza is good.
