The Wagyu beef burger has to be one of the best ...
Toasted artisan brioche bun, 180g wagyu patty, mature cheddar, butter
lettuce, mustard seed aioli, roasted red pepper & tomato chutney - result = scrumptious burger that keeps us coming back for more.
Enjoy a walk on Constantia Nek (opp La Parada) and then reward yourself with the culinary delight.
This accompanied by a local craft beer on-tap, is my idea of a fantastic meal!
We visited LaParada on a Sunday recently,as our kids were invited to a party at Acrobranch next to LaParada. We made a booking, only to discover on arrival that no children under 21 are allowed after 2pm.This really should be mentioned to ALL people who make telephonic bookings as one could drive quite a distance only to be turned away. Anyway, luckily our kids could stay at the party till 3pm and we collected them afterwards.Service was ok but not great, food arrived quickly once the waiter eventually took our order, food very good (we had tapas and the burger for mains)Mussells were not great in a very thin broth like source.A bit pricey if you have done tapas and a main meal.Overall a very nice meal.
Friends and I visited from Switzerland. What a horrible experience at the least. The waiter named Sylvester really gave a bitter taste throughout our entire experience. We we're quite thrilled to have dined at a one of Cape Towns most popular destinations as we believed we would receive exceptional service. It was at horrific disappointment that your alledgedly well trained waiter Sylvester felt like he every right to be disrespectful towards valued clients. He was cheeky. He got our order wrong and his incredicibly bad welcome into the restaurant already made us feel like we need to dismiss from the premises. His poor colleague Tsitsi really tried to improve the distaste we have about the place.Defintely not a place we would recommend unless you want to be I'll treated by staff.
The brilliant thing about this restaurant was the pricing of its tapas menu. This however has disappointingly changed in the new year. The fillet steak is up from R89 to R120 which is a huge jump. It was the standout dish that we told all overseas visitors about with glee!
The butternut instead of being char grilled is now soggy boiled and the potato chips are less tasty chunks, not slim and crunchy as they were. Please Brad why did you fiddle with a great menu and up the prices so?
