Loved loved loved my time here. Went with my family just before lunch hour as the place is usually packed and buzzing. Food was amazing and the portions were quite generous too. The waiter that attended to us was professional (can’t remember his name unfortunately). Will definitely go back there again.

Food is great and the decor spectacular. Service is unfortunately terribly slow and the loud music makes it a bit difficult to chat to the person next to you.

La Rosa certainly hits the mark when it comes to decor and atmosphere. From the skull-themed bar to the sombrero's and free tequila shots on special occassions, they embrace all things Mexican 100%! Food choices in general are good, but slightly limited for vegetarians. The build-a-burrito option is therefore a go-to option for myself as a vegetarian whenever we visit. Ingredients are always fresh, portions are generous, and the knowledgeable waiters are always ready to dish out advice.

Food is unmatched. There are many Mexican-inspired restaurants in Joburg but the food here is definitely the best. Service could be a little faster but overall a great experience.
