I love this place for casual breakfast, lunch and dinner. However please please warm the plates. This is the 3rd time I've dined here and the food is cold because the plates are cold.

Went for supper last night, received the bill and noticed we were charged R4 for butter which we had requested after our complimentary bread arrived at the table (without butter).
We queried this as was told "We only serve butter with breakfast and lunch, in the evenings we serve bread with chili and garlic only" and that "Packaging is expensive". Spoke to both the waiter and Manager.
We often visit this restaurant for lunch admittedly, where we do get butter with our bread without it appearing as a cost item on our bill! We find the location convenient and the kids enjoy this little play area. Service ranges from good to poor, food is usually good although we've had a few issues of inconsistent food quality at times.
I hope R4 for two small cubes of butter on a R682,00 bill is worth loosing our regular patronage over Primi?
Get it's only R4, but charging for butter with your bread? Come on . . . .
Won't be returning.

What a horrible experience, after walking past primi piatti for all the time we have lived in Cape Town, last night we decided to give it a try, we arrived at primi, ordered our food, we were given pitta bread with garlic and feta cheese, so far so good, my husband then ordered a glass of red wine and a pizza, I ordered a salmon trout salad and sparkling water. the food came, I took a look at my salad, the lettuce was roughly chopped, what shocked me is not how my salad looked, when I took a bite, the lettuce was not lettuce but roughly chopped cabbage with a few pieces of lettuce. I do not like cabbage, let alone eat raw cabbage, I then called the waitress after just eating the salmon trout and cucumber, to ask if that was lettuce or cabbage, to which she replied, it says on the menu " salad mixed with cabbage" my husband demanded to see the menu, it only says mixed lettuce, no mention of cabbage. what made me angry the most is how argumentative this waitress Noella was. she kept telling me that a salad could also contain rocket as if I have never seen a salad in my life before. My dear Noella, I know a lot more about food than you do that I can tell you for free, we eat out all the time and I have never ordered a salad that happens to contain chopped cabbage in my entire life. she really made sure we never set foot in this Cavendish primi piatti ever again. I left the place hungry and angry

Ordered 1 x Omelette with Spinach Sautéed Mushrooms and Danish Feta. The Omelette after 2 Bites Smothered in Raw Salt (Crunchy) on Pointing this out they Refused to accept this I then asked them to eat the Omelette which they refused as no one could eat this as you were crunching Raw Salt .
They Refused to make me a New Omelette - The Manager of this Branch was nowhere and hid away and only a nervous waiter communicated with the so called chef as to how he should proceed regardless of our insistence they maintained that the food had not been prepared with any salt and refused to replace the food but instead offered to credit the 2 x coffees even after we had assured them that we would pay for the meal in full (which we did pay and left a generous tip) at no time were we treated as paying customers with an opinion but merely as a transaction which they wanted to end as quickly as possible.
It is in our opinion that even after we had insisted that the Chef test the food personally the manner in which we as patrons were dealt with is shameful and disrespectful.
