Owner's description

This is an authentic Parisian Crêperie. Transported straight from a Paris sidewalk with an air of bonhomie, a look of South Bank chic, waiters in Breton stripes and amazing crêpes and savoury galettes.

I love Swan cafe, I eat there all the time. It's a perfect size meal and the place is always buzzing with energy. (Also it's gorgeous - obviously) I advise people plan in advance to queue for 10mins on a Saturday morning because it's always full. Their turn around time is fast and their service is delightful! It's a wonderful treat.
I have a theory...In south Africa, the people make cuisine better than where you would find it at source. And this morning once again, it was proved right. Better Crepes than we had in Paris ❤ Thanks so much for the delicious, spectacular tasting crepes with great service. The wait for the table was well worth it ? ➡️ Pears Poached in Wine served with Dark Chocolate and Walnuts ➡️ Orange, Thyme and Zest with Flaked Almonds Both Buckwheat Crepes.
Lovely little place with a fab atmosphere and great service! Was a bit skeptical of a savoury pancake (with memories of 1980s mushroom sauce-filled atrocities) but am a happy convert - the buckwheat crepe is a great vehicle for sweet and savoury. We had the Sud-Af (aka, full english in a pancake) and the Biquette (caramelised apple, goats cheese and thyme) which were both delicious and surprisingly filling. Next time I’ll try the Simple Trout as it looked phenomenal. Oh, and the coffee is great and the hot chocolate deliciously rich.
What a great addition to the Cape Town CBD. I don’t usually opt for sweet or desserts but when I saw the chocolate, red wine pear and candied walnuts crepe on the menu...I could not resist. And wow! It did not disappoint. I highly recommend a visit. There is a variety of savoury and sweet on the menu plus an extensive list of teas and coffee. I will definitely return.
A buzzing, quaint little cafe, with wonderful swan-themed decor. Lovely for an informal, tasty bite to eat. It's just a pity that the service, both in the kitchen and on the floor is very slow.
