Owner's description

Woodcutters Arms is a traditional, English style pub serving high quality, home cooked food and a large range of draught beers. They pride themselves on using fresh, local ingredients to create all our dishes. They offer pub classics such as bangers and mash, pot pie of the day and our infamous scotch eggs. In addition we have rotating blackboard specials, with dishes such as calves liver and bacon, or fresh mussels in cider and leeks. We serve 11 draught beers from local CBC Amberweiss to Guinness and Fullers London Pride.

Abosultely delicious English pub food and their quiz nights are a hit!
Really loved the ribs! They were sticky, sweet and fall-off-the-bone tender. The steak with a peppercorn sauce was pretty good too. (The sauce was red and creamy - roasted red pepper, perhaps? Anyway, it was delicious.) The chips were also super: crunchy on the outside, and soft in the centre.
Pork belly, Ribs and Roast...absolutely delish! It is very rare that each person at our table was completely satisfied with their meal. Service was impeccable and food made all our cuisine dreams come true. Well done! We will be back for breakfast that will turn into lunch and then again, dinner! WHAT A GREAT SPOT!
We went on a Saturday night. Ordered from the specials menu. Waitress came back sorry sold out. Looked at the menu - nope thats also sold out.

Ended up having gammon, which came on top of some baby potatoes, in the way you would expect at one of the posh restaurants, not a gastro pub.

Overpriced for what you get, if you can get it that is
Had a fantastic night there recently. A very relaxing, comfortable atmosphere and wide selection of beers on tap. Food was delicious, choosing from a well suited summer-style menu. Service was great at our table as well as at the bar. What a pleasant evening! Keep it up!
