What is it about the locals that they have a misguided conception about eating in hotels??

We arrived last evening to a fabulous ' buzz' at Koi at the ambassador hotel! We had been searching for and found the Wakame tastes of the late restaurant ( previously above Newport in mouille point), the same fabulous sushi and unique calamari that we had been used to...and there was such a great vibe! Im thrilled cape town has discovered this place as it deserves to be as popular as wakame ever was....the food, service and standard was above its usual level and we frequent it as often as we frequented Wakame!its on our regular list and we have never been disappointed, in fact, we order the same calamari dish as its sooooo unique!!parking is undercover over the road, a casual vibe and the freshest of sushi!
