These Gilmore Girls macarons are every fan’s dream

You’d be hard-pressed to find fictional characters as obsessed with food as the titular ladies of Gilmore Girls. Rarely did a scene pass without Lorelai and Rory Gilmore eating, longing for, or discussing food. Now, as Cosmopolitan reported, their food enthusiasm has paid off: YouTube baker Meghan Rosko has created Gilmore Girls-inspired macarons.

Meghan says that the inspiration for the amazing macarons came from the Gilmore Girls revival happening this November. Her tribute? Tiny coffee cups with the Luke’s Diner logo on them. Luke’s Diner is, of course, the iconic spot where the girls ate most often (commonly after their breakfast at home or for a pre-dinner dinner).

We can just imagine Luke himself scowling at these adorable confectionery cups (whilst secretly loving them).

But Gilmore Girls isn’t the only feast for the eyes that Meghan’s exceptional macaron-baking skills has in store for us.

We’re confident she wins at Halloween with these brain macarons:

And this Starbucks-themed one:

These taco ones (of which the Gilmores would heartily approve):

These watermelon ones, which are too cute for words:

And these avocado ones that have got to be our favourites, for obvious reasons.

Incidentally, Meghan isn’t the only one to hop on the Gilmore Girls nostalgia bandwagon: Ample Hills Creamery in Boston loves the show, too, and asked its customers for suggestions for a Gilmore-Girls-inspired ice cream. And boy, did they get them. Sassy names and ingredients suggested range from Gilmore Gabs All Night (coffee ice cream with chocolate swirls) to Rory’s Rocky Love Life (chocolate, marshmallows, a mocha injection and peanuts) and the Tall, Dark, Dean and Handsome (dark chocolate ice cream with warm fudge, topped with chocolate sprinkles).

Oh, it feels like 2007 all over again.
