The month of December is the party season in South Africa. As the country welcomes the holiday season, let's sail through the silly season anticipating the festive celebrations.

Ingredients

1 1/2 parts Reyka Vodka
1/2 part Dolin Blanc
3 cucumber slices
3/4 part Lemon juice
1/2 part simple syrup
1 part Watermelon juice
1 part sparkling wine (preferably rosé)

Method

The month of December is known as the party season in South Africa. As the country welcomes the holiday season, let's sail through the silly season anticipating the festive freedom celebrations that will no doubt involve a party, or two; one of which will undoubtedly be a Block Party - that’s the Reyka Vodka Block Party cocktail.

Whether you prefer the endless summer days or the long winter nights, Reykjavik - the capital of Reyka Vodka’s motherland, Iceland - is a place of somewhat mysterious and fantastical happenings.

Since this vodka is unlike any other, an equally unique cocktail will be the perfect addition to your festive season celebrations. What better way to celebrate the most festive time of the year than with a cocktail that will bring all the parties to the block?

METHOD
Muddle cucumber slices in the bottom of a shaker. Then add remaining ingredients and ice. Shake and fine-strain into highball glass with ice. Add 1 part sparkling wine (rosé is nice). Garnish with a cucumber slice wrapped in the glass.

The Block Party cocktail is made of lemon juice, syrup and watermelon juice. It is a sparkling, fruity drink with a solid base of Reyka Vodka, designed to make you feel like you're sipping and toasting away the year that was, and celebrating what is to come.
