Wonderful location, rest average. It is such a great pity that they are forced to close so early in the evening, apparently by-laws are to blame, because of crime in the area. What is the point of having such a wonderful setting if you have to be gone before dark and have dinner at home? What do tourists make of it?

I will not go to Circus Circus ever. The manager was so rude to me during my pregnancy in 2009. I went to Circus Circus @ Gateway, Durban. We were a table of 3, I needed to eat so I ordered my meal, my husband and his friend went to some errands and then come back to place a order. I told the waiter, I would like my food to come through now and the guys will order later. I told I was pregnant as well. The held my order in the kitchen because the manager insisted that the entire table must get served together, and refused to bring out my order until the other orders were ready. I was really disappointed by the attitude and it was too late (like 9.30pm) to consider leaving everything and going to another restaurant, I had to eat. I don't remember what I ate and I really don't remember the taste.

If you are wanting a favorable review, sorry my personal opinion is not good. My breakfast of Canadian flapjacks was bland and as exciting as eating a paper packet. The breakfast experience did not compare with other far less expensive local restaurants, will I be coming back again for another "poor experience"? No!

Shocking food, totally overpriced, dirty restaurant - service okay. I would only recommend the restaurant for its location. Four of us had burgers, all of them had a strange taste. Horlicks milkshake tasted of sour milk, canned drinks were fine! Chairs were dirty, floor full of food and old straws!
