Thyme and Again Farm stall is somewhat of an institution for many Plettenberg Bay holiday makers and locals alike, found along the N2, it’s the perfect stop enroute to Port Elizabeth or place to buy a picnic lunch to enjoy on the nearby beaches.

Not only do they sell fresh produce like locally sourced vegetables and fruit, but they sell artisan baked goods, preserves, sauces and pickles in their deli section and to top it all off, excellent coffee. They bake a selection of home-made South African favourites like lemon meringue pie, carrot cake, scones and various smaller treats like chickpea fudge, date balls and cream cheese brownies.

Then menu is hugely varied and original with a distinct middle eastern influences with dishes like Shakshuka, Falafel and Chickpea Balls. The breakfast menu is popular with dishes like their signature Thyme Omelette. For something more adventurous for breakfast, try their Quinoa Patties served with garden greens, poached free-range eggs, sprouts, seeds and avocado. For lunch, don’t miss their gourmet burgers with great vegetarian options, wraps and no-pastry-quiche, recommended by the chef.

They stock a small wine selection in the deli of well selected wines. The café has a variety of cold drinks and hot drinks on their menu. Their coffee is excellent and the perfect way to end your meal.

The service is good, waiters are accommodating and knowledgeable about the various dishes on the menu.

There is a relaxed, child-friendly atmosphere with a very imaginative children’s play area.
Finally - A perfect place to buy ingredients for a picnic on the beach or enjoy a hearty family lunch as you shelter from the summer sun.

Best for...
A hearty family lunch.

Wonderful place to stop for tea. Gorgeous Lemon Meringue Pie and luscious Milk Tart - just like granny used to make. And a lovely deli section with a huge array of yummy stuff.
