Imagine a world without Facebook or Twitter: no casual stalking, no way to circulate jealousy-inducing photos without actively emailing 500 people, and no way of knowing what celebrities are eating for breakfast. In years to come, it seems, we’ll also be wondering how we ever lived without Pinterest. ?

A visual version of Twitter, it allows users to ‘pin’ images onto virtual pin boards. The start-up social network reached ten million monthly unique visitors faster than any other website, and even Barack Obama and his team have started using the platform to share serious factual information about the US president’s policies, as well as some hilarious pictures of the first family, merchandising and, oddly, recipes. ?

Along with sister publication Eat In, we’ve also started our own set of beautiful Pinterest boards. We’ve got boards sharing pics from our favourite restaurants, top drinks, funny food, fabulous design, and gorgeous recipes

To check out our boards, click here. Want to create your own restaurant bucket list, save recipes or redecorate your kitchen? Click here and request an invite to Pinterest. Also follow Eat out on Twitter and like us on Facebook to stay on top of new restaurants, events and trends in the foodie world.
