New chef at Top 10 Constantia restaurant to host fine-dining cooking demos

The new head chef at Greenhouse at the Cellars-Hohenort, Farrel Hirsch, is already making big moves after taking over the reins from long-standing former executive chef Peter Tempelhoff. The award-winning Constantia restaurant will be hosting a series of four fine-dining cooking demonstrations from July until September 2019. Chef Farrel Hirsch will share and showcase his culinary skills with aspiring cooks, foodies and chefs.

The first in the series is set to take place on 27 July from 3.45pm onwards. Guests will be welcomed with canapés and bubbly on arrival, after which participants will learn how to prepare one of Greenhouse’s signature dishes, game fish, and gain insights into Hirsch’s techniques. The same dish will be enjoyed later in the evening, prepared by the Greenhouse staff, as guests progress from The Cellars-Hohenort Demonstration Kitchen to the restaurant itself.

The cooking demonstration, dinner, and all inclusions is priced at R2 200 per person (with a wine pairing option for an additional R350 per person). Guests will also receive a special gift as a memento.

Saturday, 27 July 2019 – Game fish
