A new oyster and ice cream bar is set to open its doors at the end of February, curated by the team behind the 12-seater, RIKŪ Chef’s Counter in The Old Biscuit Mill. Situated in The Wiggle Room against the backdrop of a luxury car lot in Bree Street, Shuck + Scoop promises an experience that merges high-end cocktails and sparkling wine with the freshness of locally sourced oysters and artisanal ice cream.
The menu features oysters, naturally – and a selection of savoury and sweet ice cream variations. Expect flavours like sesame, perilla and compressed pear, yuzu granita with shoyu and black sesame or Parmesan with smoked chilli oil, cauliflower with curry oil and apple and olive oil ice cream with Oscietra caviar.
The interior design, says chef Rikku Ó’Donnchü, was inspired by the shape of an oyster. “We’ve set it up to look like you could be sitting inside an oyster shell, then you have the bold aesthetic of the luxury car lot, Audi R8s, Jaguars, Land Rovers, Porsches, Mustangs…”

The drinks menu, developed by well-known mixologist AJ Durow, will feature an array of specialty cocktails, complemented by a selection of Cap Classique, local wines, and craft beers.
In addition to its food and drinks offerings, the bar will also serve as a cultural hub, hosting art installations and fashion shows to further enhance the overall experience.
Operating hours will be from Tuesday to Saturday, 12noon to 9pm. While bookings are not currently available, the bar welcomes walk-ins, with the exception of venue takeovers for private events.
