The Eat Out S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna Chefs’ Chef award stands apart from the other Special Awards given out at the Eat Out Woolworths Restaurant Awards in that it is the only Special Award where the winner is chosen by the industry itself.  

The award celebrates not only a chef’s individual talent and dedication, but also their role as a source of inspiration and leadership within the South African restaurant community.  

This year, Ryan Cole, executive chef and co-owner of Salsify at the Roundhouse, an Eat Out three-starred restaurant, took home the award.
